If your book is free and you want to get more people to download it and join your mailing list, we can promote it for you! You only pay the amount that you bid when somebody downloads your book and is added to your mailing list. Use this form to add boosting funds to your account via PayPal. Minimum deposit amount $5
We can sell your book on Thirsty Author, or you can offer free giveaways, or you can simply link your book to your Amazon page or website.
When running a free book promotion, readers will added to your mailing list automatically when they download your book. If your book is for sale, they will be asked to join your list at point of purchase. If you aren't using a 3rd party mailing service such as MailChip, we can collect the emails for you to download.
If you're selling your book on Thisty Author OR plan on offering free giveaways, then you need to upload at least 1 format of your book to our secure vault. PDF is the most popular format and will result in the most sales.
We can add an instant buy option to your book and sell it for you on our website. We pay a higher royalty than Amazon and will actively promote your book. Leave price at 0 to disable the purchase option.
Are you're tired of waiting for readers to visit your giveaway page? Why not boost your book to fast-track your success?
Here's how it works. Click the 'Boost' button next to your giveaway and choose what you're willing to pay for email subscribers, then we'll promote your book to our hungry readers. Whenever someone downloads your book to join your mailing list, you pay that amount.
Bids start at only 5 cents. The higher your bid, the more often we'll display it... which means faster results for you.
Instead of spending your advertising dollars blindly, hoping an expensive ad in a magazine or website will work, with Thirsty Author you pay for results.
We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our website visitors; in this policy we explain how we will treat your personal information. In general, if there’s any personal data we no longer need, we delete it. We don't ask for more information than we absolutely need, and don't store it any longer than is necessary.
Your First Name: When you register, we ask for your first name just so that we can personalize our emails to you.
Your Email Address: When you register, we ask for an address and verify it by sending you a secret code. See notes on Transactional Emails below.
Facebook Login Details: If you use the one-click Facebook login feature, we store your unique Facebook account ID as well as your name and email address. Your account ID is used to match you to your account details/giveaways, and your Facebook email and name are used for the same reasons stated above in the regular registration.
IP Address: For security purposes, we collect IP addresses of visitors for the purposes of protecting our website from hacking attempts.
3rd Party API Credentials: If your giveaways use the options to automatically add email subscribers to your lists, then we collect and store your API keys to make this possible.
Transactional Emails: The email you provide us when you register is our only way to reach you for lost password recovery, customer support, notifications about your account or giveaways, changes to our policies, etc. These emails are not used for marketing purposes and are never shared with third parties. You cannot unsubscribe to these emails and continue using our service. If you choose to close your account with us, you will no longer receive emails of any kind.
Our Newsletter: You may voluntarily choose to join our mailing list, typically by checking a box during registration. Our mailings contain book promotion tips, news about our new services, and other content of interest to "thirsty authors" like yourself who want to increase their book sales. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any of our mailings, and you will be removed immediately.
When unsubscribing from any optional list, please note that you may receive another email in the next day or so if the campaign is already being delivered, but in most cases you will receive no more newsletters from us.
In order for your readers to download your book, they provide us with their email address. We send them one email containing your book download link(s), and that is it. If, however, the same user downloads books from other giveaways and different authors, they would receive an email from us each time. We do NOT add these emails to our own lists or anybody else's unless the email owner gives their express (not implied) permission.
Once the reader clicks on the download link, our system knows that the email works and that the reader accepts (gives express permission) to be added to your mailing list. We then add the email to your 3rd party list (MailChimp, Mad Mimi, etc), or we store their email and you can download all the emails from your Thirsty Author account at any time. You can delete or download all the emails we collect from you at any time through your Thirsty Author account. We only save them for you in case you have technical problems and need to recover them. Emails that are added to your list are only saved for 8 weeks before we automatically delete them.
We use SSL encryption throughout our website so that any communication between you and our site is encrypted. We also make regular offsite backups, change passwords on a regular schedule, keep up to date on operating system updates, and use a firewall and antivirus software.
Correction: You can edit your account details yourself on our website when logged into your account. We don't store any personal information that cannot be edited by you. If you want to receive a copy of your personal data we have on file, we can provide it to you to.
Deletion: If you close your account with us, we can either keep your private data on file in case you want to use our service again in the future, or we can delete every trace of your data if requested. If you don't specify this when closing your account, we will automatically delete everything if your account was closed and you haven't returned to our site in six months. The exception would be if you pay us for a service, then we need to keep details on file to protect against chargeback disputes.
